Get your blue ribbons out and wear them all month. Colorectal cancer is preventable. Get your colon checked. If colon cancer runs in your family you may need to be checked as soon as your Forty's. My son are in this group.

Colorectal cancer is no fun. I had/have Colorectal Cancer since 2005. Don't say it can't happen to me. Because even though my grandmother had it, I didn't have mine check until it was to late, never thought I would have it. I was a very health, then one day I had one of the signs of cancer. But I kept telling myself it was something else. Finally told my doctor and she order the test. Sure enough it was positive. My family hasn't been the same.

My page has a blue ribbon on it to remind those that visit my page to always beware of Colorectal Cancer.

I started back to work Aug. 4th, for the last 3 weeks I have been working 4 hrs ad day, 4 days a week, still trying to get use to working again, I am still having tired spells, but I have a stool that I can sit on when I get tired, Next week I start working 5 hrs a day, then the next week I go to 7 hrs, not sure how I am going to make it.

I still take a chemo treatment every 3 weeks, we are calling it maintenance now. I have been stable for over 6 months now. Everything seems to being going good for now. I hope it stays that way.

I no longer have to take the thyroid medicine. My thyroid is back to normal, doctor wasn't sure what triggered it or what made it go back to normal. I guess I am just weird.

Since November of 2010, I have had a problem with my voice, in December, I found out that I had a paralyzed vocal cord on the left side. It maybe cause from the cyberknife procedure that I had done this summer or that the mass in my lung maybe pressing on the nerve that goes to my vocal cord. Either way my vocal cord and voice will never be the same. I went to the throat surgeon on Thursday, and he says he can fix it so it will sound better and stronger. I will have surgery on April 13, it will be done out-patience surgery, will take about 45 minutes. So I am hoping that it will be easier to talk and not sound like Mickey Mouse. I need to get this done so when I go back to work, people will be able to understand and hear what I am saying.

I thought I was all through with the Bailey DVD and had even gave some to people and had put a copy in the Grady County Museum when I discovered I had an error, and it wasn't a small one. While doing some research looking for Civil War Veteran that might be buried in the Bailey Cemetery, I ran across an article about the T.W. Graham family, he is the one who I thought was the founder of Bailey, after reading about the family, I found out that T.W. was the father of Thomas, and Thomas was the founder of Bailey. In the DVD that I made I had marked the tombstone of T.W. as the founder. Error, Error, Error, of course I'm the only one who knows of this error, and if I hadn't been looking for something else, I wouldn't have known it either. But now that I know it has to be changed. Now here is one of my problems, the computer I did the DVD on is crashing, and want stay running long enough to re-burn the DVD, even thought I have corrected the error. So now I have to load every thing to the new laptop and start all over. Also, I have to tell everyone that has a copy of the current DVD of the error. I am so frustrated over all of this. So much work to have to do over, but I have to tell you that I was going to remake the DVD because I had lots of new stuff to add, but I could take my time , but now I feel I have to get it re-done now. And I don't like the new laptop's movie maker program, I hate having to learn a new program, and I'm going to have to re-buy the music too. O' well I will blog about what I do about this problems as I get it corrected. Keep checking on the on going adventure of the the Bailey DVD,

Today is my 65th birthday. Yeah!!! I made it. Three years ago I set a goal that I would get medicare, and I did it! I now have 3 new cards to carry, medicare, supplement, and drug card. And of course AARP, but they started sending me that one when I turned 50, so its not new.

My new goal is to attend my 50th Class of 1964 reunion, that will be in 2014.

I guess it seem strange to some that I set these kind of goals, but when they tell you have cancer, you want to see all of them birthdays. But here I am 5 years later, celebrating another birthday. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

Terry and I flew to San Fransisco on Dec. 20th, we drove around and saw the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean, then we returned to the airport to pick up Maria, next we went to Pier 39 on the Bay and had lunch. We then went to Acompo, just out side of Lido, where we were greated by Doug, Lynette, Jenny, Julia , Aaron and Marc. We spent the next 7 days, partying, wine tasting, sight seeing, cooking, picture taking and lots of visiting.

I flew to Dallas and spent a few days with Scott. then last night I returned home. I still have 4 more days of my vacation. Don't know what my plans are for the rest of my time.

I have to be in OKC at 7:30 am tomorrow (Monday) to have my Pet Scan, it has been about 4 months since my last one. The doctor that did the cyberknife, told me that it might look worse this time, because of the radiation. But he told me not to panic. Hopefully the next one will start showing the mass shrinking.

My CEA last time was very good. It was 1.4 last month and this time it was .5, I have one more treatment next Monday, then will see what up next, I hope its a break for a while.

My new car is already need of repair. I have been noticing a whine when I would turn on the air conditioner, well today the noise got louder, so I went to Chevy dealer and of course I got there to late to see a tech., well the lady at the repair shop came out and listen to the engine, she turn the control knob and it make a whole new noise, she said its the barring in the air conditioner and that I would have to have a new compressor. So now I am going to have to call the dealer in Duncan and see when I can get the car in to see when they can fix it and find out for sure what is wrong with it. The only good part of the of the whole thing its that it is under warranty, it should be its only has 7000 miles on it. I sure hope I didn't get a lemon.
