Mini Road Trip

Yesterday mom and I got out and drove around. We went to the Marlow cemetery first. It was Fathers day, visit daddy's, grandpa's, and Uncle's graves. Then to Hop and Sack for gas. We then headed to Comanche and took pictures of new centennial Plaza, next stop was Monument Hill just outside of Addington, there are some new historical markers, Addington Cemetery to get a picture of the gate, I have a huge collection of cemetery gates. We headed back to Comanche and then to Loco, we found the cemetery. The main thing we made this trip was to look for Alligator Rock , it was suppose to be between Loco and Velma, well we didn't find it at Loco or Velma. It was getting to late to take any more pictures so we headed home. Stopped n Duncan at KFC and got chicken for supper. We made it home about 8. Even if we didn't find that alligator we had a good trip.

Cyberknife

I had all 3 treatment with the cyberknife It wasn't bad. Just had to lay still for 2 hours. It will be a couple of months or more before we know if it worked.

Going Shopping

In a little while I am going to head to Duncan and get my Rx filled, get hair cut, shop a little and see Naomi and Larry, will probably have supper with them. I haven't see them in about a month. Need a friend fix. I am now just getting enough energy to get out and go somewhere, Mom should get her new (used) car on Tues. they are doing some repairs before she gets it. They are putting on new ac compresser and driver side door handle. We still down know who much they are going to charger for the car. It is a 1996 Buick. It just has 50000 miles on it.

Cyberknife Scheduled

St. Anthony has schedule my cyberknife treatment for Tues, Wed, and Thur of next week. Each treatment will last about 2 hrs,

Flowers out at Cemeteries

Mom and I have spent the last 2 days getting the Memorial day flowers out at the Marlow and Bailey Cemeteries. Pictures will be added to post later. I hope everyone remembers all those veterans who have passed on, and the sacrifice they gave to us to keep us free. Also remember those love ones who have also passed on. Have a fun and safe holiday.

Road Trip planned

Kevin and I have a road trip planned for this weekend (Memorial day weekend). We are going to take Rt 66 east to state line. Then the next day we may be going out I-40 east to stateline Going to be looking for historical markers, places, courthouse and anything else we want to stop and see. I got a brand new camera to take on our trip. But, last night try to download the memory card to my laptop and it wouldn't download, guess Ill have to use my old card. I will download dvd for camera and see if that will work.

I am going to get the cyberknife. Already had two procedures done to get ready for the cyberknife treatment. I will start those treatments in about 2 weeks. I had my first chemo treatment 2 weeks ago. Next one will be the first. The only side effect from the new drug is that its breaking my face out.

Some Good News

I am going to go one a new chemo drug on Monday for at least 3 months. It's not suppose to make me sick or any of the other side effects from the other chemo. The most exciting news right now that they are almost positive they are going to do cyberknife. Going to see if insurance will approved but hospital is probably write it off.Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

April Heatlh Update

I only have one more chemo treatment and that's Monday . Yeah!!! I will be so glad when this round is done. I have lost 30 pounds, my hands and feet are numb. My hair is so thin, think I'm going to have Terry buss cut it. Let it start growing new. I can eat anything, except dairy product and I have to warm them up a little, can't drink or eat them cold. I can taste anything much right now. I can't wait until I can eat solid food again. My list gets longer everyday, it will probably about 4 weeks after finishing treatment to get my taste and some of my strength back. Right now I don't do to much, get weak and light head if I get up and try to do to much. I can make it to rooms in the house, but have to go right back and sit down, and huffy a puff a little while. This and every round of chemo always does a number on me. This last treatment we are going to leave off one of the chemo drugs, but do all the rest. The one that we are leaving off is the one that is cold sensitive and causing the numbness.

I just looked outside and I saw a robin, my first one this year. The daffodils are nearly ready to open. They were predicting a thunder storm for tonight. All this seems like spring to me.
